Vizier of Memes
Sub-Vizier of RMB Affairs
Is this a joke? Someone please tell me it's a joke.

Nope.

Then I have a bad feeling that this administration is going to be the real joke.

Laughing adds years to your life, perhaps a positive change for this game.

Nothing wrong with laughter, but there is something wrong with letting a newer member of Osiris have access to the secure channels of our government. You’ve always been an advocate of strong, radical security measures which is why this surprises me. Is it because they’re not Wardens?

As someone who is nominated to this administration I am ethusiastic about serving the region.
Even though I am relatively new to Osiris I intend, no matter what position I am in, to do my share of the work and activity and not just having a position like some civil servants simply for the tenure and the name on the door.
I pledge 5-7 hours of activity every week.
I thank the CV for this opportunity and the Pharoah for any Assent he may give.

Nothing against the nominee or the Chief Vizier, but I am also against the "Vizier of Memes" position. There's a time and place for humor, but a position in our government isn't one of them. This is supposed to be a government, not a joke.
I urge the Chief Vizier to withdraw the nomination or, failing that, the Pharaoh to withhold assent.

I would defend Kowa's deciding to make this appointment by pointing out our former Vizier of Johnny Cash Affairs - which I know Adytus started and Sygian carried on. I closed the position in my tenure as CV because I thought it was a little silly, but you can hardly call Kowa's term a "joke" over a Viziership that is very similar to one you not only approved of in Adytus' term, but upheld in your own, Syg.
In any case, I see a Vizier of Memes as just as silly as the Johnny Cash appointment was. The Johnny Cash Vizier, at least, had some secretarial duties, according to Ady. I'm not sure what the guy in charge of memes would be charged with doing. And while we're talking about it, why is Rallori both a Vizier and a Sub-Vizier? What is a Vizier of Discussion supposed to be doing? Why did we trust a nation who popped up out of nowhere and none of us knows with our government, even if just on the RMB? I have a great many concerns about this cabinet - all respect to Kowassati and the people he's chosen - and a Vizier of Memes is honestly the least of them.

I didn't even notice the Sub-Vizier of Discussion. I think that was added since the last time I looked at the OP.
Honestly, this Council of Viziers is way too bloated. Over the past several terms, we've been getting a lot of cooks in the kitchen but not a lot actually being served up. People are getting titles but we aren't getting activity as a result. The Council of Viziers needs to be slimmed down and, where possible, we need to be appointing people with a demonstrable record of being active and getting things done. I have no confidence in this Council of Viziers as it's currently constituted, and to be blunt, very little confidence in this overall government as currently constituted. The Pharaoh is doing fine but our constitutional system, from top to bottom, is broken.
