On occasions when others would exclaim 'Hail!', I wouldn't say it. That's because I feel that it is an exclamation of loyalty, of honor, of respect, and of gratitude that shouldn't be saturated by over-usage. I feel it should only be used when its exclamation is most meaningful. That in mind..
