Cormac for Pharaoh

Being pharoah at this time I believe will be a high stress job. In the past you have lost your temper with people in a disagreement, will your temperament be strong enough for this office?

I believe so. My temperament is actually better and I'm able to put my feelings aside to get things done under high pressure, as has been the case during other times of extremely high pressure when I was in leadership here in Osiris in the past.

Basically, when I'm more aware of how my temper could cause damage, I keep it in check more. I have also worked very hard since returning to keep it in check all the time, and while obviously I haven't been perfect in that regard, I think I've done much better.

Having read through all of the campaigns, thoroughly analyzing all aspects of them for things I could make memes about later, yours is the one I end up most content with in the end. Your answers to questions have been very details, co-operative, and forthcoming, while your campaign platform is incredibly detailed and comprehensive. The Unity aspect in particular seems like it could be very important in terms of helping the region mend from this drama that we've had ensue over the past few days. I don't think you could have put the second chances part any better.

I also am a large proponent of the reform you suggest in regards to the separation of Delegate and Head-of-State, I think we've seen the measure work very successfully within other GCRs, most notably for our region size working incredibly well within Balder. Not only does it allow them a higher level of security, the lack of constant Delegate transitions enable for them to attain significantly higher endorsement counts and the like. The other reform ideas all also hold a lot of merit, and I think it would be very good for the region to explore them and have healthy debate on them for the potential betterment of Osiris.

The rest of the platform simply makes a lot of sense, but could be argued that anybody would propose it. The difference is that Cormac isn't "anybody". He's the hardest working and most determined player I know in this game, and out of all the candidates he's the one I know has the best mix of expertise, determination, and dedication in regards to Osiris and in regards to helping Osiris grow and prosper. One only needs to check his track record and the amount of work he's done both in and out of the region to know how he is more than capable to be able to serve in this office. I'll be voting Cormac in the election, and wholeheartedly endorse his campaign.

It has been conclusively brought to my attention that when I stated recently that The Almighty Jesus Whale was in Osiris endorsing The Dourian Embassy during the July 2013 coup d'etat, I was mistaken in that assertion. He was not in Osiris at any point with his main nation at the time, Lykens, which was in the World Assembly for the entire duration of the coup.

I will emphasize that it was not my intention to mislead or falsely accuse. I firmly believed that I had remembered conclusive discussion, many months ago, of him being in Osiris supporting that coup. But I have not been able to find such a discussion -- only discussion of him being a resident of The Silver Isles, which as a region was dragged into supporting the coup by one of its officials -- and I have been shown conclusive evidence offered by an independent, impartial source that he could not have been involved in the coup in the way that I believed. Whatever I may have believed or thought I remembered, there is no excuse for making that accusation without ensuring I could back it up. I can only offer my sincere apology, and this statement that I was wrong, and accept responsibility for my error.

So, to Jesus Whale and his friends and supporters, I apologize, and I hope this statement will set the record straight and erase any doubts my unintentionally false accusation may have created in anyone's mind.

The very reason why I decided to run for Pharaoh was that I didn't see any candidates I believed were capable of presenting the type of leadership Osiris needs right now. And I understand that some people may have trouble with "Cormac" and "Unity" in one sentence - had you asked me two weeks ago if I could ever see myself endorsing Cormac in an election, I'd have challenged you to a duel to the death, right then and there. But in the words of the current Pharaoh, Oh The Times They Are A Changin'. And the last two weeks have been... interesting, the situation has changed. And this campaign here is nothing if not convincing. I don't see any better candidates, and I'm saying that as one of them. Hence I have decided to discontinue campaigning, and I'm now endorsing Cormac.

This is really humbling and if I'm elected I hope I live up to this endorsement. Thanks for your support, Rogamark.

Out of all of the serious candidates you're the only one that I trust to be active throughout the term and fulfil most of your platform.

You have my endorsement man. Just don't declare any wars unless they result in positive activity. :p

What is challenging for me is that many of your actions that I have seen, Cormac, have been reaction-based. Even many of your actions in this election has shown this. When you were pharaoh, your move against Lazarus, I would argue, was also reaction-based. Your previous against Osiris also so. How can we know that you won't continue this trend?
