l don't think it (removing the PNG status) would hurt as long as he'll be standing trial.

Shadoke and I have discussed this matter extensively since it happened. I have made it clear to him exactly how the world of NationStates views Forum Destruction, and had Revall not posted this topic, I would have.

I would note that he worked to restore the damage that was caused. The board showed, last I knew no signs of any damage.

I would further note, that sometimes, people make mistakes. As I recall, there was little more than 20 posts, if that on the board. An act of petty rebellion done by someone angry. It was Syl, who had no reason to be involved who acted maliciously who is one to be concerned about, I sentenced him accordingly.

I am satisfied that Shadoke is no threat to this board (or for the record, Kingdom of Alexandria's where I have allowed him to maintain citizenship and more recently, take command of the military there).

He has expressed a wish to face a trial here in Osiris for his actions and asked how he would go about receiving such a thing. I think it may bring some closure to him.

Given Raven's post, I'd be open to rescind the Persona Non Grata declaration by the Deshret. My main concern has been Shadoke's maturity, or more his expressed lack there of, in regards to the situation, but I'm more than happy to take Raven's word on it if he says that Shadoke's handling it maturely now; assuming that the trial still happens, as that's kind of a big thing that needs to happen.

Osiris cannot be seen to condone off-site terrorism nor as a haven for those who have committed these acts. I would advise my fellow councilors to take that very, very seriously.

As someone largely unfamiliar with the act in question and the character of the individual in question, I need more information about this person, whether this is the only mark on his record, etc. If, and only if, there are no other incidents of such infamous behavior -and- the forum destroyed was as insubstantial and irrelevant as Raven suggests, I would be very much open to the removal of the Deshret PNG though I wouldn't feel enthusiastic about it.

It's important to note that this isn't a removal of a PNG that then has him entering the Osiran community. This is a PNG that will put him on trial upon re-entry for his actions, with a sentencing one could imagine would look somewhat similar to that of Ridersyl's. After the conclusion of that sentence he could of course join Osiris, but I would be content to think that by that time his sentence would have been served and there would be no condoning of the forum destruction given the court room process it would have gone through.

Keep in mind that, unlike the lives that were lost during terrorist attacks, the forum was fully restored by Shadoke.
