Jasper Henn was an old man, but one of the best Engineers that had ever been employed. His skills were unmatched in the world, but he was old, and got slower by the minute.

He was in the original crew complement of the station, and continues serving to this day, mainly because he gets an excellent pay and pension.

Hearing the announcement Alcon grumbles to himself. "Well that's just peachy." Sipping his scotch he continues munching on what passes for food around here.

Aval enters the bar as soon as the announcement is broadcast and groans audibly, he takes a seat next to a gruff looking gentleman who he now recognizes as his seatmate on the transport on his left he sees a more shady type gentleman chatting with the bartender. He extends a hand to Alcon, “Oh hey it’s me Avallar from the ship remember?? Terrible run of luck we’re having eh”

Alcon sets hid drink aside and accepts the proffered hand. "Name's Andy Bannerman, yeah does seem like a bit of a bad time to be here." Alcon motions to the almost empty plate. "Foods edible at least, and the swill isn't bad either. Lord knows I've had worse in my time." Eying the waitress he smiles before returning his gaze to his companion. "Found lodging yet? I haven't even had a chance to look."

Jeremy looks down at his watch. 4:59. Almost done. I'll catch a bite at the Cantina and the... The phone rang, interrupting his plans. "Hello?" he said in a slightly annoyed tone, annoyed that someone would call him as he was about to clock out. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me. Not Lou... Ok, lock everything down. No one leaves this planet until we find out who is responsible. Get the team ready, and round everyone up in the Cantina. It's going to be a long night."

He hung up the phone and cursed under his breath. Just what I needed, he thought. He checked his equipment and headed to the camera room, trying to find anything obvious. He knew it was more than likely just wishful thinking at this point, but he had to start somewhere, and his "team" was taking care of locking down the planet. It was days like these that he had wished he followed in his father's footsteps and stayed home rather than trying to prove something and make it out in the galaxy on his own. He always thought of his father when he looked at his watch, passed down to him on his 18th birthday.

"Ay ay ay. I really ought to stop staying up so late." Henn said as he re-adjusts one of the dials he flipped randomly last night. Then, the message came through.

"Goddamn it to hell." As he walked towards the Cantina.

Penelope Caulder wrote: Sitting in the cantina having dinner with Stephen Birch, the Transportation Director, Penny let out a quiet "holy shit" when she heard the announcement. She took some money from her purse to pay for her meal. Stephen held up his hand to signal that she should keep her money. "I'm sorry" he said in a voice that lacked any real sympathy. She rolled her eyes as she headed for the door. She had to get to the security headquarters building.

Peter Starr wrote: Pete was alone, as usual at this time of day, in the office. He did most of the work for Lou but few knew who he was. He didn't get a lot of credit for his efforts. When the intercom crackled on he stopped what he was doing and listened. It was rare for that system to be used. He felt an odd mix of sadness and optimism. His boss was dead and he liked Lou well enough, but as long as he was here, Pete's career was on hold.
Pete sighed deeply before closing down his computer and heading for the tavern. He wasn't going to get much done now.
