THE COURT OF THE PSCHENT
DECLARATION OF JUDGMENT
Presiding Elder: Joshua Ravenclaw, Pharaoh-Emeritus
21st February 2015, Palace of the Pschent Findings of the Elder
The Presiding Elder has found that the Defendant, Pharaoh-Emeritus Cormac Stark has wilfully ignored Osiran law in his attempts to subvert and gain control of the Delegacy of Osris. This is both an alarming and concerning pattern of behaviour, aimed at causing significant damage to regional credibility.
The Elder has also noted the attempts to damage Osiran credibility and internal cohesion by false and spiteful propaganda aimed to caused severe internal divisions, aimed at making this region easier to conquer. The Osiris Fraternal Order has come a long way from the ruins of a failed state, and has worked hard at fostering a united ground between various groups from a damaged community. The defendant was a large part in that success, but has turned their eyes to destroying it, something which goes against everything Osiris stands for.
The Elder has noted that the defendant is a person who has been honoured several times for their dedication to the Osiris Fraternal Order and the region of Osiris as a whole. However, nothing justifies this attack on Osiran democracy, regional security or the region itself. Flying the flag of a group which has its primary members declared Persona non Grata by the Deshret is both blatant and horrific in its treatment of Osiran society.
The Elder has acknowledged that the defendant has no remorse for their actions and wilfully admits to a desire to cause further damage if possible.
The Elder will now address the Defendant:
Pharaoh-Emeritus, you have been someone who has had a massive impact on my life inside Osiris. For both good and bad, you've been a very important figure in how I worked for this government, both under the Kemetic Republic and later in the early days of the Osiris Fraternal Order. I have always admired your steadfastness and your doggedness to fight for whatever you believe in, even if I've never understood why you have changed your affiliation so often, it is not a road I could walk.
It was your words, along those of Venico Bright-Axe's on that day in December 2013 that convinced me to support the Osiris Fraternal Order, to use all of my collective influence across the Feeders and Sinkers, some of our former allies, to ensure Osiris was given a fresh beginning. I went above and beyond what I expected from myself, anything to give Osiris a chance. I still feel Osiris has a chance, you may feel that your reasons for the Osiris Fraternal Order were wrong, and that this institution should not exist now, but I disagree. The alternative is where Osiris would be without it - a state of lawlessness, chaos and civil war.
You have been a respected figure in the history of this region Cormac, and I hope that one day we can teach about you in the annals of our earliest days to the next generations. But I fear you will not be here to see it unless you meet the degree of change that Osiris should expect from one of your history in its community.
The Elder has decided on the following:
Pharaoh-Emeritus Cormac Stark, you have been found Guilty under Osiran law on the charge of Treason against the State.
In order to protect the security of the regional Delegacy, I sentence you to an exile of no less than twelve months from the region. You are prohibited from maintaining any access to any nation residing inside the region of Osiris. You are forbidden to hold Diplomatic or Citizenship of the Osiris Fraternal Order for a period of fifteen months, to run concurrently to your exile.
You have expressed a wish to leave this region after seeing it "cleansed" of those you feel unworthy. This presents a risk that I cannot ignore. I cannot show you any leniency in case I open this region to future attempts. You are to be banned from the Forum of the Osiris Fraternal Order for no less than six months.
Due to this you are hereby automatically stripped of your titles (Section 2, Clause 6 of the Osiran Holidays and Honors Act):
The Nomarchy of Karnak, awarded by Pharaoh Joshua Ravenclaw
The Seal of Vigiliance, awarded by Acting-Pharaoh Joshua Bluteisen
The Violet Jewel of the Atum, awarded by Pharaoh Severisen Montresor
The Crown of Osiris, awarded by Acting-Pharaoh Treize Dreizehn
I am not without sympathy for your history. You may appeal to the Deshret of Osiris in 15 months time to ask for them to be restored to you. Honoured Citizen Status will not apply until you successfully re-apply for citizenship.
Should you choose to re-apply for citizenship, you will be judged by a member of the Pschent (not including myself or anyone involved in this case), the Keeper of the Deshret and the Pharaoh to decide whether you are able to be a contributing member of this community. You will then be required to produce several articles about what the Osiris Fraternal Order has achieved, and why it is an improvement over the previous governing bodies of Osiris.
You may appeal this ruling to the Appeals Court, through a representative.
I hope that you think deeply about what has happened here, what you have given up and what sort of reputation you wish to leave behind. Osiris is not a play-thing, nor is it a sandpit for people from far away places to cause chaos in and then leave. You have a certain standing in this region for a long period of time, and through your own actions, you have squandered it. Perhaps one day you will be considered again, as a trusted member of Osiris, time will tell.
