This really should not be at vote yet. Although whether the Procedure requires it is debatable -- and there is an argument to be made that it does -- it's customary for the Deshret to give nominations and such the same mandatory consideration period as legislation.

I've voted Nay, with my apologies to Tim and Lord Ravenclaw, because I don't think a life-term judicial nomination should be rushed like this.

it's a bit of a grey area, and for nominations I tend to err on the side of expediency.
especially considering we have several court cases waiting at the moment.
