Andrew, it's good to see you making a stand here. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

You mention culture as being one of your areas of focus, specifically role play. Do you have the experience to lead that effort, or would you be appointing someone to lead it? If so, do you have that person in mind?

What do you feel are your strengths as a candidate?

What are your weaknesses?

1. While I do admit im not personally the greatest fan of Role-play, I have been apart of role-plays and have lead them. I joined a region known as Coalition of Democratic Nations (and I'm still there), which, I must say, is the best role-playing Region I have seen so far. Most of my experience has been gained from there by participating in character role-plays, national role plays and writing role-play factbooks of my own nations.

But in regards to your question, I do intend to appoint an individual to manage our cultural affairs and further assist in the promotion and development of our role-plays while also participating myself to give the necessary assistance required. I intend to be a more hands on Pharaoh, participating in every aspect as possible to ensure their continued activity and development, but of course giving Scribes the needed independence to manage their respective ministries and ministerial side-projects.

The person I have in mind for said appointment shall be judged according to a diversity of variables but mainly whether they are suited to the role and their portfolio in the certain field of work. That is in fact what i'll be judging all appointments on; looking at their activity, their suitability for the role and their portfolios in the certain work area. But right now, I do have candidates in mind and I am doing a little digging around to make certainty of their capability :)

2. My strength as a candidate, i think, is that I have experience serving as a Delegate, not of a GCR of course :P but in a Founderless , so I do know the in-game responsibilities of being Delegate, such as maintaining regional security and enforcing the law.

I have also, seperatley, served as chief executive officer in a region, which has an embassy with Osiris, and therefore I am familiar with being in a major leadership position and the constant attentiveness required. Being a member of the Hedjet has further advanced this as I am now familiar with its operation, and, after also seeing the performance (and even taking part) of previous Administrations both here and abroad, the unique qualities that are needed to lead a branch of government and a region.

3. If I have to say that I have a weakness, i would say that I am possibly too forgiving when it comes to not accomplishing set tasks. This was a problem when I first served as the chief executive officer in a region. I would delegate authority and duties to my appointed officers but after checking their work progress after a period of time, they would have nothing to show. I was too lenient on them rather than taking appropriate action, such as finding new individuals who could better serve in their capacity. I have learnt from this, especially since then, to not be lenient in the face of such laziness and I can promise the Osirian nations that I will try to find replacements for Scribes who do not perform up to the task that is required of them.

Are you planning on bringing people in from outside the region to take on these roles?

Pharaoh Joshua did this with his appointment on the Scribe of Justice. He brought in a friend whom he believed would serve well in the Justice capacity. As expressed in the recently published interview of the Osiris Oracle, it was one of his mistakes as Pharaoh.

I am considering my Hedjet appointments but I do not think I will be bringing in individuals to serve in executive positions. I would like my Scribes to be known to Osiris, its community and it's individuals rather than strangers who know very little, if anything at all, about it. So as of now, no I do not intend to bring in people to take on executive roles, but you have certainly raised an interesting question, my friend :)

I'm going to be asking all of the candidates this exact same set of the following questions:

1. A coup d'etat takes place in The Rejected Realms, led by The Black Hawks and supported by the United Imperial Armed Forces. The Sekhmet Legion is asked to support the coup. How do you respond? How, if at all, does your response differ if the coup is instead led by the UIAF?

2. What is your favorite color, and why?

3. A coup d'etat takes place in The East Pacific, supported by the UIAF as well as raider regions with which the Legion has collaborated in the past. How do you respond?

4. If you had to choose a song to represent your campaign, which song would it be and why?

5. Osiris is approached about joining an interregional military organization of six initial regions: The North Pacific, Balder, Europeia, Equilism, Spiritus, and of course Osiris. How do you respond? Does your response differ if it is instead a trilateral organization with Balder and The East Pacific and, if so, how and why?

6. Do you know who your Vizier is going to be? You don't have to name him or her, I just want to know from each candidate, honestly, whether they know who they want for Vizier and whether that person has confirmed they're going to take the position. Not necessarily a deal-breaker, more a curiosity.

7. The highest influence Guardian of the Atef seizes the Delegacy and gives his nation to Biyah. The Empire of Osiris is declared, supported by pilers from hostile regions and various unflagged units. Within a few updates, you and your Vizier are ejected and banned, and no Guardian is anywhere within striking distance of the Delegacy. What do you do? How does your response differ if one or more of the other Guardians join the coup, and why?

8. Choose a Christmas carol to be the official carol of the Osiris Fraternal Order, and explain why.

9. A serious dispute breaks out between Balder and The East Pacific, prompting mutual severance of relations between the two. Both sides are pressuring you to cancel Osiris' treaty and sever relations with the other. How do you respond?

10. Two members of your Hedjet are embroiled in intense arguments. These arguments have been erupting, on and off, for two weeks, dominating the private Hedjet IRC channel and even spilling over onto the forum and into #osi on a regular basis. Both are your friends, both do their jobs well, and both are demanding you fire the other. How do you resolve the conflict?

Thanks in advance for your answers and, again, best of luck!

1) I am hesitant of dragging Osiris into something it does not need to be a part of. If it was TBH that was both the lead and requesting our involvement, I would follow a strict policy of not supporting foreign entities, in actions such as this, if they were not one of our long standing, treatied allies.

I do intend to bring back the FPAC that was created during your tenure, Cormac, to specifically focus on rebuilding and the strengthen of our foreign relations with other regions and advising me on the appropriate foreign policy actions to take. Therefore in the case of UIAF, one of our treatied allies, I would monitor both sides of the situation closely with the FPAC, seek their counsel, weigh up the pros and cons of becoming involved and examine the motives of this coup, should it be beyond the whole R/D stance. Should it go past the whole R/D stance and there are pure enough motives that would, in the eyes of the FPAC, qualify that TRR is in the wrong and require our involvement, then I may support them. If not, then I would decline them support.

But then again, our Treaties with the UIAF does not require us to partake in such acts, whether the opposition is in the wrong or not ,so in the most likely case I would not support them and not bring Osiris into the matter; especially considering our current foreign policy, I don't think partaking would help it.

I also doubt UIAF's ability to hold the Region. The current Government of TRR is liked at home and has various supporters and treatied allies abroad. I don't think the UIAF would permanently place their forces there just to keep TRR. And like I said, should the current Government of TRR be reinstated, that would not help our foreign policy.

2) Red. I dont know why but I like the look of it. Especially Regal Red or Crimson Red. I do think they look lovely :P

3) Alike my answer for the first question, I would need to examine all aspects of the coup with the FPAC. As both The East Pacific and the UIAF are our treatied allies, I would assess the motives for this attack and whether it couldn't have been solved another way. However, I will also take in the consideration of Osiris' interests. If Osiris says we ought not get involved, then so be it, but if Osiris thinks we should get involved then we shall, and my Administration shall strategize the correct steps to find a resolution, within our interests.

4) I already have :) Why? I believe the Lyrics speak for themselves. A New Dawn, A New Day, A New Life ..... for Osiris. :P

5) I very much concur with Vac on this. Seeing as how the ISRA operated. It would depend if, firstly, it was in the interests of Osiris and, secondly, if every region can pull their weight as well as ourselves. I think that Vac is also correct in saying that the region/s that contributes the most would be the ones who have the most say over the organisation. Seeing how currently the Sekhmet Legion has come out of hibernation, I do not think we would be able to pull our weight and I would definitely like to avoid becoming dictated to by other regions.

Again with Balder and TEP, it depends if both regions can pull their own weight and that we all have equal say in matters regarding the trilateral organisation. If regions cant pull their weight, or Osiris can't I wouldn't consider it. But if other the regions, as well as Osiris could, I would still be rather unwiliing but I would consider, however I would request that the Deshret have an imput before Osiris does anything to advance the formation of this organisation and/or become a part of it.

However, I've heard that large organisations such as this would be nothing but troublesome for some regions, so the overall likelihood is I would not even consider such a proposal.

6) I do have a Vizier in mind, I have been advised not to chose a citizen who is a Guardian of the Atef, and the certain individual in mind has had experience in a Delegacy before.

7) I wouldn't give up. The Fraternal Order has accomplished much and at least has gained the support of many regions. I would not allow my Administration to be the last one of the Fraternal Order. So I would of course call up all our allies to organize and execute a counter to reinstate the Fraternal Order while simultaneous trying to solve this diplomatically; coming to the negotiation table with The Empire. If one or more Guardians do betray the Fraternal Order, my plan would not change. And when we do take the Region back, the traitors shall face justice. I most likely also appoint a commission of individuals to further investigate the matter, and advise the region on the necessary steps to avoid this from happening again.

8) It didn't feel like Christmas this year, and I dislike Christmas Carols as they tend to give me a headache. But If I had to name one I would name: Sleep in Heavenly Peace :) It sound beautiful, even though it gives me a headache.

9) I will not allow our foreign policy to be dictated by any region; no matter how close they are to us. If I had to respond, I would consult with the FPAC and assess the situation of who has the stronger arguments to the other. But I will consider Osiris and its interests; should Osiris call to sever ties with one or both regions, my Administration shall sever ties with one or both regions

10) I do not believe into bringing personal friends into politics. I would have political friends and personal friends, but I would not judge an individual as both if the reasoning is just because of 'friendship'. But it depends on the situation. If it was political or personal (more petty personal) matter, I would listen to both sides and weigh up the arguments then try to act as a mediator and try to come to a resolution, informally. But should none of the attempts to find a resolution work, I will give them a formal time period to come to a resolution themselves, with my intervention should they so wish, and should no resolution have been meet by the deadline, I'll replace them with individuals who can better work with other members of the Hedjet. But if one revealed a personal secret regarding the other or they both did, they can kiss the sorry asses goodbye :P and i would consider sanctioning a ban for them on the IRC and/or forum should it be necessary.
