I had it in mind as a remedy for the situation we were faced with last night. Legally I was obligated to begin an election almost as soon as my own was concluded. This would also serve to give them flexibility around that life thing I keep hearing about
I see your perspective on this. But I do agree with alot of what Tomb has said. On the one side, the Keeper and their staff will act responsibly and use this privilege to speed up votes without having to wait for motions. On the other hand, The Keeper may abusing this by delaying certain legislation for whatever purpose they have in mind.
Hmm, but like you've also said, there isn't alot of harm done by just postponing a vote for one week. But I'm not so content on your Section 4 Amendment of allowing the Keeper/Curator to immediately bring to vote changes to the procedures, but ultimately it will be for the Deshret to decide.... I'll have to think on this.

We have all had time to consider this. I know we have all been busy with the elections.
I will table the proposed article 4 for now as it seems to be a great deal more controversial than I had thought.
I move for a vote on the first section of the proposal after the election is concluded.

Tomb wrote:Sat Dec 27, 2014 7:40 pmTo be honest, I see two sides to this.
On one side, I do see the responsibilities of the Keeper and his staff and so I think that they should at least be given the privilege to speed up votes without having to wait for motions. However, I can also see the Keeper (not you) abusing this by delaying certain legislation for whatever purpose they have in mind.
So therefore, I believe that the current rules are fine for now.

If you need to speed up votes, then you need the process to be able to be called by any Deshreti with whatever conditions. The Keeper just enacts things and record keeps, as Vac said a thankless job that isn't above any other Deshreti member.

I second that motion. Perhaps it would be better to re-approach this at a later time.

May I ask here...If somebody applies for citizenship, can anybody accept it?

No. That is the legal responsibility of the Pharaoh and his Administration. I suggest you look
here and familiarize yourself with our laws
