Noting one of the holoboards flashing to the side of his vision Aerith regarded it coolly... without previous assignments... no issue of that. Turning briskly Aerith began to make his way to the listed "Shuttle Bay 3", curious as to what this mission may entail, instigated by the general herself.

Upon nearing the entrance to the shuttle bay Aerith checked his step as a.. man?.. who seemingly was missing half of his face, stepped through the entry way, and Aerith could help not but smirk at the types he may be working with in but an instant.

Jolting himself back into action Aerith made his way through the door, only to hear the fabled words of "You're hunting a Jedi." Wide eyed and stone faced, Aerith inclined his head deeply to General Velria. "General, reporting in for this special.. assignment. I note your lack of a force sensitive currently, and offer my services as a corrective solution to this problem, and a problem it is I can assure you. Against any so called Jedi." Aerith finished his sentence with a barely distinguishable growl as his eyes flicked around the room, spotting yet another man wielding an indisputably blunt and utterly typical blaster.

Velria saluted and nodded curtly. "Glad to see more arrivals. Once we have enough for a team I will explain then. No need to waste breath."

Without previous assignments? Check. Without too much concern for one's own safety? Martinus did a quick count of his cybernetic replacements. Injuries were just opportunities for upgrades at this point. Martinus headed to Shuttle Bay 3. Upon arriving, he took note of the room's inhabitants. He had seen most of them before, but had little to no interaction with any of them.
"Martinus Sul, field engineer and special operations, reporting for duty." he said as he saluted General Velria.

R.E.M. - Losing My Religion Waylend woke up to the sound of clattering glass. It was a common alarm for him these days. The bartenders at the Cantina weren't, he figured, sure how to tell a Jedi to get out, and maybe more than a little scared to startle him awake. At least at first. After he spent a few weeks trying to forget Jehar's voice, letting him sleep off whatever had put him under in the first place seemed like the merciful option. He stood up and straightened his robes, feeling for his weapons as he did. Everything was still in place.

Waylend reached over the bar and grabbed one of the heavier bottles. Waylend looked over at the bartender, held up the bottle, and nodded his head slightly. The response was a barely audible "Yeah". Waylend decided that maybe today would be a good time to rearrange his blankets in the time honored tradition of 'trying to sleep' and stumbled out the door.

The corridor lights were always brighter than the inside, and he took a moment to let the light wash over him and get his bearings. He caught his reflection in an unused holoboard. He certainly looked like a mess. Whatever. No one here was going to judge him. Not out loud. Still, he took just a moment to wipe... something from the corner of his mouth. As he stood there wondering what the green mass was, the holoboard came to life.

He wasn't so much startled by that as he was by the sudden monotone voice reading the announcement. He closed his eyes and brought his free hand to his forehead as it ran through the message.

"General Velria has requested a team of specialized soldiers and force users to report to Shuttle Bay 3. Preferably without previous assignments and without too much concern for one's own safety. Thank you."

Khex chuckled to himself and took a swig from the bottle. "Wow" he said out loud, "Ortolan blue ferment," he paused "I... I can't afford this,"

The sudden wash of cold logic didn't sober him up, but it did annoy him. The cantina was pretty flexible about his bill. He doubted they'd even call him on his tab, but eventually they weren't going to serve him anymore. Then he'd be alone with his own thoughts again.

That sobered him a bit.

"Alright Velria, let's see what you've got," he stopped an ensign who happened to be passing by, and outside of a slight recoil at Waylend's breath, she seemed willing to listen to what he had to say.

"Which way is Shuttle Bay 3?" he asked, leaning far too close for either of their comforts.
___________ As he walked into the Shuttle Bay, Waylend Khex took stock of his possible future companions. He settled into the back of the room and got busy not listening to anything the General was saying, stealing a sip from his bottle along the way.

After a bit of waiting, Velria looked over the five people in front of her. Scruffy, mangy, gruff, stinking of booze...this was her type of team. "Well listen here folks. I don't give a shit about your previous ranks or commanders. You all belong to me now." She said authoritatively handing out new I.D. cards to them. "Write in your name on them and you'll be good to go."

Striding back towards the shuttles, the General knocked on one and a hatch opened, exposing a Rodian and allowing him to hop out. "This is Reelo Tanwa. He will be your pilot where I am sending you. He will be your life line back to this ship so I suggest you get to know him and don't piss him off." Reelo was dressed in a leather vest over a pilot's uniform with a blaster on each hip. His blue skin was paled slightly and his buggy eyes scanned his new cargo.

"Revan is planning an attack Foerest in order to hit the Republic where it hurts. Luckily a contact of mine has shown that the Jedi think they have a secret weapon in a girl named Bastila Shan. Something about her being able to sway battles. They've been prepping her since Revan disappeared past the Outer Rim. And now that there are rumors of his return, we're going to show them that we know where to hit where it hurts." Velria approached the group again and smiled. "She's currently on some routine call, orbiting Dxun. We're going to engage her ship while you five board. After that, it's a simple search and destroy mission."

Just as the General was finishing, she hesitated but then spoke. "I don't want you guys to think you have the power in this encounter...but if this Jedi is as good as our intelligence is, she may be swinging the battle for her Republic ship. So you need to land and deal with her as quickly as you can so she can't use any of her Force Abilities to destroy us." She looked each and every person in the eye.

"Any questions?"

Kilner smiled slightly at this. With a grunt and a nod he started inputting his name into the I.D. It pinged once he was done. It looked a card of obsidian. Sleek and black with no discernible marks except for the button on the right hand corner that he had pushed to enter his name. But now he even struggled to find that again.

Martinus looked up as he input his name.
"I'm assuming that we're to destroy, rather than apprehend, the target?" intoned Martinus, with just a hint of mirth.
He had to admit, the chance to slay one of those guardians of the decadent and corrupt made him almost giddy.

"Either works really. Just be sure that you're not leading yourself into a trap if you do apprehend. Anyone else?" Velria intoned.

"No sir! Lets go kill us a jedi."

Waylend stepped forward with his palm facing outwards, "Wait. You're talking about Bastila Shan? She finally mastered Battle Meditation? No one's been able to use that for centuries,"

Velria shrugged at that and said, "Whatever it is, it ain't going to be helping us when she's on the opposite side."

"I'm not quite sure I'm up for offing a Jedi. I used to be one after all, probably still am." Waylend paused and rested his right hand on a console.

"There are plenty of former Jedi here," Veleria shot back, fire rising in her eyes, "Aiding our cause in tearing down the stagnant Republic. If the Council stands in our way, then they will be torn down as well."

"You don't think it's a little early to just assume they'll be in opposition?"

"The likelihood of them standing to the side and allowing the Dark Side of the Force to make its way to the Republic is low."

Waylend took a long drink from his bottle and grimaced "The Dark Side?

"Revan and Malak have found that the Dark Side is stronger and much more easily used to defend the weak. Take the Mandalorian Wars for example."

"I fought in that war, I..." Waylend let his voice drop for just a moment before continuing, "I sacrificed... a lot for the republic, and I agree that it needs to be rebuilt. Forcefully if needed. But what you're talking about is murder! If you want me on this mission, I'll capture her, but I won't kill her. I know of Shan. She's just a padawan. She'll be easy enough for this group to take alive."

Velria sighed and rubbed just under her horns. "If the situation calls for a kill, like her rampaging through your party slicing them to bits, then kill. If she can be captured, by all means. Adapt to the situation though and don't set such absolute rules."

"Fine, but let's be clear: I am not a murderer. And I don't intend to work with murderers. If we're going to be the saviors of the republic, we have to make sure it's worth saving. That we're worth saving."

Velria nodded slowly and with a slight frown at Waylend as he shifted uncomfortably in place. He was struggling to broach the next topic in the wake of his previously high minded rhetoric.

"So...I'm behind Revan. I've followed him for a while now, but uh... in this new order of his... I have to ask... are we getting paid? The Jedi Order isn't necessarily providing me with support anymore. And this," Waylend held the bottle above his head, "Isn't cheap,"

A smile crossed Velria's lips. "Of course. The Elite Corps, such as yourselves, will be supplied very well for their efforts in this war. And aboard this ship? Rations and," She motioned towards the bottle, "luxuries shall be provided."

"In that case, and given that we're going to be taking on a Jedi, I'm going to need a Crystal. This vibroblade isn't going to do the job. I'd prefer a synthetic one, as my last saber was a little weak in cutting power,"

The General pulled out a hand sized tablet, inputted a few things into it, and handed it to Waylend. "This will get you and your party supplied with whatever you need at the Arms Master."

"That simple eh? Hey. Don't worry if I've been frustrating so far: You'll be plenty happy with me when we bring her back alive,"

"Indeed" She said curtly.

The General made her way back to Reelo and said a few words before he climbed back into his shuttle. "We should be arriving over Dxun in three days. Make any preparations you need to make now. The Arms Master should provide for you all. If you have any further need of me, I'll be in my quarters." And with that, Velria walked past the party and out of the room.

Rubbing at his neck, Kilner turned to everyone else. "I'm gonna head to the Arms Master and restock on grenades. Anyone want to come with me? We might as well learn who each other are before we have to bury one another." He said seriously.
