I have no problem with Josh, but I have severe concerns with the activity levels of the other two. I would like to see both of them posting more before taking office so that they provide a larger presence on the forum, but that's just me.

I think they have respectable enough post counts. Juris has been quite active in legislative discussions and r3n has been active in such discussions as well, particularly in revising the State Code before it went to vote, and we should be looking at quality rather than quantity of posts.

Spam isn't a qualification for the Pschent. The in-game legal expertise these gentlemen have, which they have all contributed here already, is a qualification.

I'm not sure there is a finer legal mind than r3n in NS.

I thank the Pharaoh for his nomination. If I may address Klaus Mikaelson's concerns to some extent.

My post count in the previous Osiris forum, during the days of the Kemetic Republic, was very low. Yet, I served as a member of the Great Kenbet (the Kemetic Republic's judiciary) for a period of, I believe, nine months, and was consistently among the most active Kenbetii when there were court business. In fact, for most of summer 2013, I was the only active member of the Kenbet.

My post count in all the regions I have been a member of is very low. The reason for this is that I have a busy RL schedule, and therefore I have no time for spamming, participating in community discussions, or posting one-liners in all the active threads in the forum. Instead, I choose to make very targetted contributions to the areas I excel in and where they will have the most impact: legislation, judiciary, technical support, and diplomacy. And invariably, in any region I have chosen to contribute in some subset of the above areas, I have left a positive mark. For legislation and judiciary, the regions would be: Great Britain and Ireland, The New Inquisition, The Land of Kings and Emperors, Europeia, The North Pacific, the Kemetic Republic of course, as well as the organization of the Alliance of Capitalists, Conservatives, and Economic Libertarians (ACCEL).

My post count in this forum is very low, negigible even. Yet, I check the forum regularly and, since my appointment as a technical administrator, on a daily basis. True to the pattern I described above, I believe I have already proven to be a useful administrator in the one week I have had this position, despite my otherwise minimal presence in the forum. Likewise, should I be confirmed as an Elder, I cannot promise to all of a sudden become a prolific poster; but should business appear before the court, I can promise that they will be dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

Yeah, my recollection of the KRO is that r3n was the most consistently active Kenbeti we had -- often active when the other Kenbetis weren't.

I can also confirm that he is extremely active as an admin. In fact, in the one week since being appointed as a technical admin he has performed more admin actions than any other admin besides myself. That is honestly astonishing, as Raven is also extremely active as an admin.

I wasn't asking them to be spammers, Cormac. I was stating that I wish they had a larger presence on the board. What you did on the previous forum is something to be applauded for sure, but now we're on this forum, and that is where my concern lies.

Your problem there, Klaus, is that you don't really have much of a leg to stand on. This forum is still young. It's difficult to measure "presence" at this stage in the game since post count can't really mean a whole lot (yet). Both r3n and Juris have been active parts of Osiris in other facets including IRC.

Juris in particular has been a very active part of the Seshat (more than many other Priests of Seshat), and has contributed in very important ways to the Criminal Codex both in the Seshat and in the Deshret. He was my first pick to be my deputy but Raven swiped him. :P These are good candidates - all I can really postulate as to your opposition is that you just want to be obstructionist for its own sake.

Then you have me all wrong, Z. I won't apologize for asking questions and making inquiries while it seems you have plenty of yes men. I'll keep asking when I think that I should, because in my experience, that often helps in the long run.

Juris is one of the finest legal minds that I have ever been acquainted with, and his dedication to the legal aspects of NationStates is truly worthy of commendation. He currently sits as a long time member of the East Pacifican Conclave (Judicial branch) and is widely known throughout the GCRs for his legal knowledge, and it is one of the reasons I have nominated him to serve as an Elder of the Pschent.

Josh and r3n have already had their praises sung, so I won't repeat it. :P
