Resignation as Chief Scribe

Honourable Scribes,

I officially resign as Chief Scribe, with immediate effect.

I am honoured that you chose to entrust in me the responsibilities of this esteemed office. However, it is my decision and my decision alone to resign. I sincerely apologise that I am not able to serve the full term you elected me to.

Pursuant to Article II, Section 1(6) of the Scroll of Ma'at, Deputy pro tempore Gradea will hereby administer the business of this Council.

We appreciate your service as Chief Scribe. It's unfortunate that Lazarenes have pressured you into resigning office here in order to seek higher office there. I personally think you're making the wrong choice, because we would never have asked that of you here -- in fact, we didn't, no one asked you about your role in Lazarus when you ran for Chief Scribe. But I respect your right to make this choice nonetheless.

I appreciate that Gradea is in place to administer the business of the Council of Scribes until a new Chief Scribe is elected. I will begin elections for Chief Scribe shortly.

Controversies and drama aside, I thank you, Amerion, for the professional behavior you've displayed during your term and now in your resignation.
