Us prohibiting people who already serve a couple of consecutive terms will not necessarily result to new members running. Nor will it equate to a better or efficient corps of leaders. By allowing 'veteran' or 'senior' players to keep winning their mandate, alongside new members, we have a better chance of installing a government that will be led by experienced and trained leaders.
The best way to encourage and facilitate new people stepping up and gaining experience is to take chances on them. That is how I got my start in NS politics, via Osiris when a Pharaoh appointed me to her cabinet as a deputy, and I was a total, non-GP unknown, with no pre-existing connections to the region.
I'm seeing a real lack of understanding about how government works from a few people, which is disappointing, but understandable. This urge to legislate on issues we've never had is also odd, since there's only been one multi-term Pharaoh of the OFO, and that is Tim. And since Tim didn't serve three terms in a row, I can't see how it applies. Nor can I figure out who else might be targeted with it; I didn't even finish my first term, Cormac has yet to finish a term, Douria didn't have a full term, George served a term and a half before resigning, Asta didn't technically have a term, Dalimbar CTE'd before his term was over, Zaolat was a pre-constitutional Pharaoh and thus didn't have a term, Oliver/Michael was acting Pharaoh and handed the delegacy to Lyanna soon after emergency elections were completed...
Now, if you want to legislate on executive officials, since well, Sev has been in cabinet since December 2013. I was Cabinet (in varying FA related offices) from October 2012 until May 2014, Cormac was in cabinet from January 2013 until late 2014. Biyah was Minister of Citizenship for the entire life of the KRO and pre-OFO periods regardless of what anyone else said. But again, I'd strongly oppose that as well, since it's poppycock to suggest that we limit Deshret confirmed people from serving.
Of course, the term limits idea is absolutely stupid to begin with, no jokes. Why? Because the Deshret is the electorate. The electorate has the right to decide whether it wants to vote someone in or not.
