Resignation from Pschent

Greetings,

It is with heavy heart that I must inform you of my decision to resign my post as Chief Elder of the Pschent, effective immediately. I have sent a private communication to our Pharaoh informing him of this, that he may find a suitable candidate to replace me in the Court as soon as possible. Present RL and NS circumstances have made it increasingly difficult for me to head the judicial branch. At this time, the Pschent needs an active leadership that can ensure the wheels of justice and order turn smoothly in the region.

It was honor to have served as member of the Pschent. Even during the drafting of the State Code, I was the one who suggested and strongly stood by the inclusion of a separate judicial branch. I have envisioned for the region to have an independent, scholarly body responsible for the interpretation of regional laws and the arbitration of disputes. And as it was established, I it was great personal pleasure and honor to have been selected as one of its inaugural holders. From there, we have worked hard to come up with a fair, reasonable and clear set of rules to govern court procedure, and have established a system for Elders in handling the system.

However, for the reasons already mentioned, I think it is time that someone else took my seat at Court. I thank my fellow Elders, and the region for a very memorable experience.

With my leave, I hope to continue to serving the region, in a new capacity, as a member of the Deshret.
