The announcement came after a period of inactivity from both the monarchy and region itself. After his abdication speech, Former Emperor Vinage announced that Aaron Astoria would ascend to the throne as the next sovereign of Mazeria; not only changing the Monarch but also the ruling house of Mazeria as Mazeria had been led, since its inception, by the Reigning House of Vinage, but now the Astoria family would inherit the throne. Shortly after the abdication, Aaron Astoria was sworn in as King of Mazeria by one of his oldest friends, Thomas Calloway. In line with tradition, the Monarchs of Mazeria are sworn into office rather than crowned at a coronation. Since the beginning of King Aaron's reign, there have been many reforms to the way that the monarchy is run. Orders of Nobility have been established as well as Military Orders so that those who have devoted large amounts of time to the region and MAF respectively may be rewarded for their loyalty. As well as reformation, the throne has also seen security as Sacul Astoria was named Crown Prince, making him heir to the Mazerian Throne.

One of these additions was the establishment of military orders and titles of Nobility. These new orders include the Medal of Valour, Medal of Liberation and Medal of Apocalypse; awarded to those who have performed large amounts of missions, returned Mazerian colonies back to Mazeria and defended Mazeria against the zombie apocalypse respectively. Alongside these Orders come the titles of Nobility. Once established, long serving members of the community were awarded. Such members include Thomas Calloway-Astoria who was made Grand Duke of Khorossos, Sacul Astoria who was made Earl of Saculium, Tyras Calidan who was awarded the Order of the Grey Star and made Duke of Sandstorm and Tanner Mariari who was made Marquess of Greatclan.[c][center][b][big][big][color=teal]Election Time [/color][/big][/big][/b] [img=200,200]http://truedemocracyparty.net/wp-content/uploads/voting-paper-ballots.jpg[/img] [i]Elections return to Mazeria.[/i][/center] Elections were in full swing in November of last year, when Thomas Calloway-Astoria took on two-term incumbent Tanner Mariari for the office of Prime Minister, and only one candidate stood for WA Delegate — the Crown Prince, Sacul Astoria. Calloway-Astoria took 71% of the vote to Mariari's 29%, and Astoria was elected unanimously with 100% of the vote. All eyes are on the next election due to begin on the 17th, which will introduce the new constitution, establishing a bicameral legislature and a new structure of government.

King Aaron's eldest son and Heir to the Mazerian Throne, Sacul Astoria, married Cassy Anumia. The ceremony was held in the newly founded Cathedral of States, and performed by His Majesty Aaron Astoria himself. The wedding was attended by a lot of people from both within and outside of the Kingdom. After exchanging vows, the couple traveled to Vinage Palace in the Gold State Coach, accompanied by the Royal Guard. On the Palace's balcony, the newlyweds had their first kiss, in front of the gathered crowd. Finally the festivities were concluded in the form of a Royal Ball. One of Sacul's oldest friends, Thomas Calloway (now Astoria), gave a speech as the Prince's Best Man. Soon afterwards Cassy and Sacul adopted Thomas, making him their first son, and the King's first grandson. He was not long after followed by a second son, Carrot Astoria. This wedding and the adoptions that followed it ensure that the Astoria Line will remain the Kings and Queens of Mazeria for quite some time to come.

King Aaron and Crown Prince Sacul released the following video, to encourage the continuation of such activity. It also highlights the feelings of strength, loyalty and trust that can clearly be felt within the region. The video was received very positively by the citizens of the region, old and new alike. The King’s message is clear: Mazeria Today, Mazeria Tomorrow, Mazeria Forever. We may burn, but we will never be destroyed.
