Treaty of the Old Gods amendment

Howdy.

Just a note that Article III(ii) of the new Treaty of the Old Gods is both superfluous and not at all beneficial to Osiris. Osiris already has it own Security department, the Priesthood of Bastet, and all the intelligence I received as Pharaoh came either from Bastet, from my Vizier, Treize Dreizehn, or from my own sources. No intelligence was received from the Joint Director of Intelligence, North East Somerset. In fact, he had intel on the 2014 Regional Sovereignty Conference and didn't share it -- I had to read it in Gameplay like everyone else.

This position is designed to ensure that NES remains in it and has an unearned position of power in Osiris that Osiris does not exclusively control. I tried to replace NES in this position as Pharaoh and the Queen of Balder, his wife, would not consent.

Moreover, there is no reason for Balder to have any of the special privileges granted by Article III. Osiris' relationship with Balder is no stronger than its relationship with any other ally, actually weaker than with some. I urge the Deshret to vote Nay on this amendment so that Balder's unearned special privileges, and particularly NES's unearned position from which the Pharaoh is powerless on his own to remove him, can be stripped from the treaty.
