It is my duty to inform you as Defender of the Thread and Scribe of Seshat that Cameron Romefeller has been charged with Treason and Conspiracy in accordance with Sections 1a and 3g of the Criminal Codex.
The events occurred in question on March 1st, over IRC during a conversation between the accused and Treize Dreizehn, Keeper of the Deshret and Scribe of Ma'at. The accused indicated to Scribe Dreizehn that he would potentially support a coup to overthrow the Osiris Fraternal Order and implicitly soliciting Scribe Dreizehn's assistance. Scribe Dreizehn continued this line of conversation in order to gauge the seriousness of such a statement, after which point the accused indicated an active desire and commitment to assist Scribe Dreizehn in a conspiracy to overthrow the Fraternal Order.
Occurring simultaneously was a conversation over IRC between Scribe Dreizehn and Cormac Somerset, Curator of the Deshret, where Scribe Dreizehn made it clear that he was pursuing this line of conversation in order to bait the accused and gauge whether or not his statements were to be taken seriously. I have attached transcripts of both conversations as the primary evidence for these charges. The conversation between Scribe Dreizehn and the accused is complete; however, the log between Scribe Dreizehn and Curator Somerset has been abridged in order to remove portions that are irrelevant to this case.
I will be serving as prosecutor on this case. Scribe Dreizehn and Curator Somerset have agreed to testify for the prosecution. I will be notifying the accused of the charges against him via PM, after which he shall have the right to designate any Priests of Seshat other than Scribe Dreizehn and Curator Somerset as his defense attorney.
