By the way, if you need to acknowledge the original creator of the flag, look here. I thought that the flag looked good, so I tweaked the background a bit and I got to the flag I've proposed.

Possibly yes. I was just going off the fact it is the favicon of the current forum and a good ancient symbol.

It was used by the Kemetic Republic, but symbols used by the Kemetic Republic are okay -- just not the exact same flags. As you noted, it was inside a triangle and also with a different color scheme, so this design is quite different.
