II. Geography
General:
Irregular circle (roughly the size of Eygpt) forms desert basin in which lies Lake Terabithia, which is surrounded by arid desert on all sides.

In the time before history, 2 years ago, rogue nomadic tribes ravaged the fertile farmland around Lake Terabithia. The people worked hard to grow all manner of crops and livestock, but were defenseless. Then someone stood up for his neighbor. That man was Mush Mush.
The little brawl in his neighbor's hut was no big deal in his eyes, but word soon spread. Thousands gathered to fight with Mush Mush. Being a wise leader, Mush Mush decided to do the only sensible thing: build a new farm in the center of the lake to out of the reach of the angry nomads. Following his example, every hand and every boat carried soil to the center of the lake. An island was born, Terabithia.
Over the last two years, Mush Mush's influence grew as Terabithia grew. Natural irrigation and protection from bandits turned it into a flourishing oasis. The nomads grew more and more desperate until, one by one, they ceded their independence to Mush Mush. They became Terabithia's militia in return for food and crafts. The wanderers who once destroyed the lake's shore became its permanent protectors.
In addition to protecting the farmers from rogue tribes, the eight nomad tribes of Old Federalia also became merchants. They carry the goods of the lake across the desert to other new nations, increasing the wealth of all involved.
The same goes for all Osiris. The region prospers under the new nations sprouting up across the land. The White and Blue Niles shall overflow their banks!
