[ INAUGURATION OF HAZEL-MALPHE ]
The avatar of Nut has doffed their crown. Thus the priests scramble about their scrolls, the guardians arrange in defence, allies from distant lands converge in support- those cloaked cultists of the far north arrive in mass by impossible passage, those gangled plunderers of the sky, things stranger still.
Those bright eyed seek augury of the great scarab, but those wiser have seen pale moonlight borne in time; omens are taken of that great traveller, that Khonshu at side of ibis, that lead ever down.
Down, down through temple, through sand and earth and rock, through dankest cavern and eldest labyrinth, to deep dark voids where witless vermin chitter and preen. Rare be seen, great their number, few their boasts, save creation of our auspicious creature among their number.
A weird manner of visaged humanity bearing furred tail and ear, a tall frame and greened eyes. This warped thing has ever stalked the palace under moonlight, in workings obfuscated and private; the witch-rats of Malphe elect their candidate.
Hazel-Malphe of the Full Moon has taken pschent and entered the sun. She brings three books, blessed by that ideal of humanity, and a chisel to the old temples of Osiris. She buries the banner of Ra, raises one apotropaic, and retreats unto her works.

[ APPOINTMENTS OF HAZEL-MALPHE ]
[ APPOINTMENTS OF HAZEL-MALPHE ]
Aye, so time for appointments. Most of these will be familiar faces returning to their offices, Sky racked up some excellent appointments in the latter half of their reign and I'm confident these incumbents can continue their duties admirably. There are some more important appointments that I'll go over in more depth, new appointments are highlighted in gold below.
PHARAOH: Malphe II
VIZIERS: Arkadia Universalis [FA], Dragonian Alliance [CA], Tethys 13 [GA]
SUB-VIZIERS: Big Boyz
MOSHIR: Wascoitan
DEPUTY MOSHIR: Big Boyz
CHIEF SCRIBE: Concorde Dawn
DEPUTY SCRIBE: Cretanja
GUARDIANS, IN LOS: Arkadia Universalis, Tethys 13, Federation of the Resentine Kingdom, Dragonian Alliance [will be confirmed by CoS]
PRIESTS: Valerievna, Nebemakhet, Cretanja [will be confirmed by CoS]
On Viziers
All of our current Viziers have been remarkably consistent and effective in their roles, and they'll continue their good work into this reign. Ark has overseen diplomatic efforts of remarkable efficiency and timeliness, I've legit been surprised by him just appearing out of nowhere with this project I hadn't even heard about as CV, I've got complete trust in his abilities and talents. Teth is probably the most consistent NationStates player I've had the pleasure of knowing, as a long time Osiran native and an imaginative writer I can't wish for someone better to represent Osiris gameside. Draco has been hardworking and energetic from day one, always around for new ideas and always working on some project, so his reappointment is similarly a no-brainer.
On Priests & Guardians
Otherwise known as [ filling in the hole left by a vacating rat ]. Cretanja will be replacing me as third Priest- anyone who's spent much time in Osiris knows how energetic and eager Cret has been, dude recorded the history of every pharaoh as a hobby so I'm very confident they'll have both the historical & legal know-how to serve as Priest if their duty ever calls. That and, as a general note, the kind of energy players like Cret bring to Osiris is more important than any kind of infrastructure I can establish.
Osiris has a legally mandated 3 Guardian lower limit, but I prefer having four and, luckily, we already had the perfect candidate. Draco is dutiful and trusted, he's not Vizier for no reason, and I know he'll be an excellent Guardian.
On the Legion
For the last few months the Sekhmet has been in a limbo, without a Moshir or super developed infrastructure. My intention is to turn the Legion into a powerful force in my reign, and while it doesn't have immediate precedent in my list of reforms I don't intend to leave it leaderless.
Wasc and Big Boyz have both been two of the most active presences in the Sekhmet Legion for the last few months, and I'll not be putting my big plans for Sekhmet into action by myself. As one of the first players to express interest in the actual leading of Sekhmet operations Wasc is by far the most qualified candidate for Moshir in processing and training up the next generation of Legionaries I intend to recruit, and BB has similarly been a consistent and eager presence in both updating and organizing for the Legion, a fitting candidate for the revival of a Deputy Moshir position. I have full trust in their discretion on what's best for the Legion, and I look forward to working with them.
That's it for appointments, see you shortly with another big textwall!
