I am Diaz, Ruler of The Republic of Tiparu, which has been around on Nationstates since 2005 (I am also a great fan of expressing myself through emoticons
). I started Tiparu after searching google for a nation simulator and found this to be the best one by far (it still is 
). As far as I can remember, I have never changed region . I went through a few long periods of only logging in sporadically to avoid apocalypse (because of work/other commitments
), but have been able to be a bit more active in recent months and finally decided that Tiparu should formally ask to change from being long-resident to citizen. 
I hope to contribute in whatever small ways I can, and have much appreciated the encouragement of others and continued enjoyment that nationstates provides as an intellectual exercise and surreal simulation.
