You suggest we do this, because they totally won't do us harm if we switch?

It's a spineless maneuver that is beneath us as Osirans. We stick to our guns and defend ourselves, not capitulate because one traitor feels bad. You are asking us to suddenly trust people who see us as targets. And frankly, it's baffling.

Well, a spineless maneuver, using your words, is why our current Pharaoh was pardoned, forgiven, and not only allowed back but named Heir Apparent, as you are now.
