The Five on Friday
Today's Guest: Sygian
I ran for Chief Scribe because I felt like it was one of the best ways for me to help Osiris if I was elected for the next three months, and a great opportunity to meet and talk to more people in Osiris. Why did you run for Chief Scribe?
I really was not surprised. Greyghost was a good opponent and I knew that it would be close between us. Most elections, including this one, are hard to predict the outcome, so seeing it get so close that a runoff vote was needed only made me even more anxious. How did you feel seeing it go to a run off?
I felt very accomplished, as this is one of the first elections I have won in NationStates. (For the record, I have not run in many.) When the results were posted, I realized that it was now my duty to carry out my promises that I made in my campaign thread and I cannot let my voters down by failing to do so.What was it like when you learned you won?
I hope to achieve everything that I mentioned in my campaign and more. I do not think we need more laws, policies, and legislation. I believe that we should review our current legislation and improve it to fix any current errors and fallacies that we may encounter. I plan on holding at least one legislative review session where we examine current legislation and decide if we should modify any of it to make it easier to understand and/or to avoid confliction with other legislation. I will begin this project after meeting with my appointed deputies and I will make a volunteer thread on the forums as well. What are you hoping to achieve?
Greyghost was a worthy opponent with very similar ideas as mine. I believe that her and I will work well together, especially by organizing these review sessions. Not only is she wonderful, but she is also active enough that I can count on her if anything happens and I go inactive. Also, she secretly promised me free tacos. Shhhh! Why did you appoint Greyghost deputy scribe?
